Sensory Science Group

The Sensory Science Group (SSG) provides members with many opportunities to engage and share knowledge with fellow professionals. It is a very active group, typically meeting three times per year for a wide range of activities, including an annual Sensory Conference and regular discussion workshops. The scope of the group includes: Sensory science, including sensory perception, consumer science and neuroscience, Application of sensory science in industry, including Quality Assurance (QA), Research and Development (R&D), New Product Development (NPD), innovation and consumer insight functions. Methodology and statistics, Standardisation of sensory methods, via bodies such as International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) and British Standards Institution (BSI), Ethical considerations, Education and accreditation
